The stock horn-shaped tube drops the intake size from 4" at the CCV return down to 3" at the turbo. New ATS housing has a 4" inlet so this new intake hose is used. Also note the piece of exhaust pipe between the two intake tubes - this replaces the stock CCV return to the intake, eliminating it.
