Album Info:

BNSF SD70MAC number 9872 at idle just south of downtown Shreveport. This is one of the unit trains pulling coal to area coal-fired power plants. This is likely to be the pusher set of locomotives (the other end was in an inaccessible area in the spring - unless you want a copperhead bite). When the locomotives are the lead units, this train typically moves up about 100 yards (as you can see from other photographs in this album).
