Sculptures honoring branches of the Armed Forces. In the background is an Honor Roll of the towns who staffed the "North Platte Canteen" during WWII, meeting over six million service men and women as they travelled cross-country on Union Pacific "Troop-Trains".

I had no idea this was in North Platte. It's a very impressive memorial, not only in size, but in it's personal approach to the men and women who served. A very appropriate walk for Armed Forces Day.
