This D-type looks original, and it almost is. The reproduction (don't say 'replica'!) body panels were assembled to a modified E chassis. Some minor details were not 'period', however, such as the use of aircraft nuts on the spare tire lid. It was finished a month ago. The owner put 1,000 miles on it and decided to auction it. It did not meet reserve. It could be vintage raced, however.
