Even though it was a damp, wet day, the "mist" you see is not fog (though it sure looks like it). Instead, it is the smoke from burning tires that hobos have lit to keep warm. This is the third train (from the preceding photo) now moving east through Wilson Alley. The KCS westbound has now starting slowly moving up the Wilson Alley grade.
