This is the shell (cases, cylinder and head) of the rarest of all Honda Racing Bike engines, the 1959 125cc DOHC Racer, of which 5 were built and this is the ONLY one left in existence!

  • Is this a desmodromic engine. I used to know a member of the CRMC here in England who had a 125 bevel driven bike,very similar to the one shown. He got the engine from a friend near Birmingham(England), rebuilt it and a few years later another friend said that he knew of an old chassis, the other side of Birmingham, and guess what, it was the chassis to go with the engine, so he now has the complete bike.
