What happened here? Former Capitol Airlines Constellation L-1049E, N1005C, had been sitting atop a restaurant in Penndale, PA, for nearly 3 decades. The restaurant has since been torn down, but the retired bird was more fortunate; she is undergoing restoration at Air Mobility Command museum in Dover, DE. The old girl also flew for Cubana, Seaboard & Western, and Irish International.
