In Rick MitchellÂ’s book Airacobra Advantage,The Flying Cannon there is some information about 44-2664Â’s previous history:44-2264 was delivered on November 5,1943,under contract AC-40071.It was available for delivery to the Russians on December 1,1943.It arrived at Fairbanks,Alaska,on December 30,1943 and transferred to the Russians on January 12,1944.
