A rare color photo of the Shanghai Y-10, which was the first Chinese-designed jet airliner. The aircraft first flew on September 26, 1980. Engines were Pratt & Whitney JT-3D turbofans, spares from CAAC's purchase of Boeing 707-3J6 airliners in 1974. Source of photo - now defunct Chinese Web site.
