I drilled a hole in the very center (white plastic portion) of the cap, to be ABSOLUTELY certain air could get into the tank as fuel is being used. The caps are vented already, and do allow some air in, but having once "collapsed" a fuel tank by starving it for air, wanted to be sure some air can get inside. There is hole there, but it doesn't go completely through.
