Being a bit of an Ariel freak, I can add a few comments. Although you state that this is a 1937 model, the enclosed rockerboxes at the top of the cylinder did not appear till 1938, and the damper springs at the top/side of the frontfork belongs to 1939. This said, both alterations may easily have been added to a 1937 bike. Sadly the red panels on the side of the tank are way too big, and lacks the gold pinstriping.
