Album Info:

The single-track, 2-station Almaden Branch was opened on April 25, 1991, the same date as the Guadalupe Corridor Line and Santa Teresa Branch. Because of VTA's financial crunch, the Almaden Branch is likely to have the dubious distinction of being the first "new-wave" light rail route to be abandoned. A single car, such as 831 shown here on August 7, 2003, shuttles every 15 minutes to Ohlone/Chynoweth Station and connection with the main line. © 2003 Peter Ehrlich (99400499)
