The yellow arrow points to the flywheel gear the the alt shaft assy's split gears must engage during insertion. The star shows the route the Lewis-Pin must take for the straightest pull out the oil drain plug hole. Mark the back of new alt shaft and use the 'jiggle dowel' to keep the Lewis-Pin oriented during insertion. [Photo from Gunnar Reed]
