Album Info:

Believed to be India's very first indigenous car, designed by an Indian (Nasir Hussein), based on the Herald MkIII but chassis slightly modified w/ Triumph Toledo rear axle. This is an early (1971-74) Gazel, found in a local scrapyard. This one's got a few mods on it, notably the Suzuki side indicators & missing tank filler hole. The missing front hubcap is actually in use as a feeding bowl for a puppy owned by the scrapman's family! Photo-Karl Bhote, Pune, India
