As the train leaves the stage.......... by mid-1956, because of the afore-mentioned failures due to the sand and high New Mexico air temperatures, all the TrainMasters were reassigned to the SP commuter pool between San Jose and San Francisco, where they worked very well until retirement in 1974-75.
