The real 'Shangrila' was a P-51-B flown by Don Gentile (called 'a one-man Air Force' by General Dwight Eisenhower when he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross). Don was an ace with over 20 air-to-air 'kills' and he totalled 'Shangrila' while beating up the field after a good day of hunting Germans.
