Note the N scale Kato #4 switch mechanism is physically quite different in appearance than the #6. Here you see the underside of the #4, slider mechanism in the right hand position viewed from underneath, which is throwing the points and power to the straight leg of the switch. (This is the opposite of the #6 switch, in which slider in right hand position viewed from underneat throws points/power to the curved leg of switch).
