These were a great airplane to work on. Rode them to Goose Bay, Labrqador & Sondrestromfjord, Greenland. Both in the winter, naturally. Got checked out to do engine runs also. Even got to run a couple at Mactan, PI when the Transient Maintenance troops didn't have anyone available.

Spent many hours working on these aircraft (engine mechanic) during my 1st 4 years in the Air Force. Matter of fact, this is one i worked on. Brought back some great memories

Got to get a ride in one of these when I was in High School (Air Force) Junior ROTC. It was a Texas Air National Guard ship similar to this one, That was a lot of fun and one of the fond memories of my youth.Got to even work the boom.
