I cut my teeth in the USN as an ADR working on S-2's & C-1's. Flew as aircrew in the US-2B & C and C-1A. Excellent reliable planes! Those avgas fired heaters could have been a little more reliable though! To this day my heart still skips a beat when I hear an R1820 go from idle to full song. Nice loooking bird! Keep em flyin!

I flew on US-2C's in PR in 1971. We towed targets and spoted drones and made runs to St. Thomas. Nice pic's. Joe jandakillough@verizon.net
