Album Description:

Photos of Warbirds from the WWII Era, and those from years immediately following, taken by Tom and Louise Griffith. I'm adding to this as of late 2007 - I'll add photos of aircraft already in this album, but different individual aircraft.

  • Where did you get the photo of the B-36 Peacemaker? I thought they dismantled the last one that was on display near Ft. Worth. My dad helped build them prior to becoming an airline pilot. johnboy54@outdrs.net

  • Hi TomLou - Trying to get you back as a favorite member with no sucess. Had to replace both power supply & motherboard in my HP Pavilion. Lost a lot of programs. Tried every link I could find on your homepage, can't get you back. What am I missing?

  • Served with USAAF, 8th AF with 2nd bomb div. as a Navigator on B24 bombers in UK during WW2. Completed my combat tour of 35 missions by Dec 1944 and returned to US to train as fighter pilot. Flew in PT-17 (primary) and AT-6 for Basic and Advanced. War ended before I was to check out P-47 Thunderbolt. Love to see in-flight photos of these old WW2 war horses. Keep up the good work. • The pictures of your album are, indeed, a joy for people who loves flying from proppeller planes to modern jet stuff. Congratulations
