North Platte, Nebraska is the home of "Bailey Yards", World's Largest Railroad classification yard. In Sept. 2007 North Platte & the Union Pacific Railroad held the first "RailFest". Also the home of "Buffalo Bill" Cody's "Scout's Rest Ranch".

  • Enjoyed the tour of North Platte, especially the trains........oh for the good old days of cabooses. We had so much fun when our son was little in the 70's stopped at railroad crossings and watching for the caboose! Carol

  • Hi Marvin, This is so great to see all the trains and the memorial for the veterans. Beautiful. I especally enjoyed the memories of the canteen because I read the book about that time by Bob Greene.
