what a fantastic set of photographs all you need is the noise of the planes to go with them .

Thanks for all the comments Ted :o) Yes Shadow / Highlights is one of my main tools (I've even given it a shortcut!), but I think it's better used on selections / layers rather than on the whole pic :o) Also, it's good with low light, but not so good with highlights. And of course much much better if you shoot RAW :o) About that album, the real colors were so washed out that I had to more than usual in PS, but I kinda like the results, even if it's still a quite "dark" album. And I still have to use the 70-200!!!! :o( Ciao! Roberto

Hi Ted: Stunning, exciting succession of pictures - all is so intense that we can't imagine you haven't ever flown in these super-birds?! During military service? Anyway, as you write: these male and female pilots merit our admiration, and congrats! - Thank you for your friendly comment, early to-day (you got up at night-time!), in our "Drops" album! - With our best wishes: Kaethi and Heinz

Hello Ted, WOOOOOW, an other incredible album about the birds you seem to love more than any other object for photography! Again I am very much impressed about the remarkable images! They should be printed as posters! The clarity of your images is fantastic! In the full size view you can see the details inside the bird, even see the pilot smile for you!!! :) - I will never understand how it is possible to get high quality shots as yours. I am sure it is not the camera, it is the photographer who makes the difference. It sure was a lot of work to put this and the last album together! Thanks for all the helpful - and the witty - captions they make the pictures alive! And what is next? Have a wonderful day! - Galit

Hello Ted! Just when I was beginning to think you have exhausted your aviation photography, you pull this one out of your hat! Amazing set of photographs. I know you told me about cropping etc to get it centered, but, considering the speed at which they fly, even cropping is a difficult proposition. You have a great eye! I found it so difficult to capture a flying Candor when I was in Peru!!! Once again, an excellent set of pictures! Wish you a very happy Thanksgiving weekend ! Suresh

Thanks for the invite Ted, this is a remarkable album! I've never liked the 100-400 L much because of the push-pull zoom, but it seems to produce great results in your hands :o) Ciao! Roberto
