  • I love old tractors, had a little plastic one as a kid that went everywhere. You did a great job capturing these images and listing what each one is. Thanks you for your kind comments in my guestbook. Best wishes, Ken

  • Nice to hear from you and to view your collection of tractors. I was driving the backroads yesterday, and the old Oliver from my photo has apparently been moved or sold, along with several other old tractors that were parked in that paddock. Where in Oklahoma do you live? I lived in Muskogee, Stillwater, and Lawton for several years, and have a niece who still lives near Tulsa. Charlotte chargerfree@mindspring.co m

  • Hi, this is a great album of tractors fro days gone by. I must be an antique myself. I remember many of these tractors working in the field. I had a 730 John Deere diesel one time, also a John Deere 60. I remember jumping off the right side, and my jacket, caught the hand clutch, engaging it, as I made my stupid leap. I did learn from that almost fatal mistake. It is a small wonder, that the tractor didn't run over me. There are many things about my life that few know. Some good, some not so good. At Freedom Hall in Louisville, they hold the largest indoor machinery show in the nation. And they also have a truck, and tractor pull each night of the show. So if you like machinery, and like a great tractor pull, visit Louisville. Check out their website, just put in on a search, National Farm Machinery Show. Hope you can attend. you will see some fantastic tractors. Some with multiple engines in the unlimted super stock. Bring your earplugs. When those 6000-7000 HP gets going, you will need them. Take care and thanks for sharing... Darrell

  • Hi Susie, loved this record of the old tractors. You only show 1 Fordson (with iron wheels) but I spent many a happy hour riding on the mudguards of a rare orange one of those when I was a kid. Not many were in UK then. Many thanks for your kind words on my featured Antarctica album last friday. Eric
