I am new to this site, and don't know how to communicate directly with snubnose4754. After looking more closely at the pictures of the 1952 1 ton and the 1948 panel truck / bookmobile, i believe the 1949 I have been seeking may have been the same size as this 1948. What is the status of these two trucks now (spring 2007)? Any interest in selling? Any other information about similar vehicles? Anyone with information about this type panel truck / bookmobile, Chevrolet, GMC, or other - 1930's, 40's, or 50's - or other small, van type bookmobiles please email me - bowlinnolan@bellsouth.net . THANKS!

Greetings - I have been seeking a 1949 GMC Panel Truck / Bookmobile. I believe it is a 1 ton, similar to the 1952 shown here, but with lift-up side panels to access built in shelves from outside. Any information about this vehicle, which was sold by Kruse Auction Company at the liquidation of Herbie's Antique Auto Museum in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. in the spring of 1995 would be greatly appreciated. Also, further iinformation about the 1952 1 ton and the 1948 Panel Truck / Bookmobile shown here will also be appreciated. Thanks. email to bowlinnolan@bellsouth.net .
