This is a great album and your photography skills are excellent...THis album brings back memories..I grew up on an Air Force base. went to an Air Force High School...The show base of the Air Force it is called...with three flight lines...I listened to these things take of and land all of the time..after a while you dont notice the noise. Thank you for the very kind words about the model aircraft photos. Although R/C (remote control) Aircraft is mostly a hobby, the passion ingrained in the creation of these models is reflected by the meticulous attention to detail. The ultimate goal is to produce an exact duplicate of the full size aircraft in a scaled down size. Some of these aircraft have complete cockpits that look fully functional. Thanks for the comments about my maple sugaring album. What a terrific collection of photos your Thunderbirds F-16 album is!! There are some professional quality shots here! Wouldn't it be great if air shows were the only time F-16s and the F-18s (of my fav team, the Angels) were seen. Thank goodness we have them, and their magnificently trained pilots and crews, for this very much less than perfect world. Your comment about spending the money on the lenses rather than the camera body is well taken. As I view your work, I can tell you know what you're talking about!! ~~~~Bob

You have such great shots, absolutely professional, here and in the other album of the beautiful old airplains. Quite unbelievable to view. Thank you for sharing. PS as for your question, I didn't enter the water in our hike, because I used the stops for resting and taking pictures. The air was warm but the water seemed to be very cold! Ted, it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife at the air show. Your photos came out wonderfully considering the crazy weather that day. When the storm came up just as the Thunderbirds were getting ready to take off and you were packing up the camera, I thought you'll had left. It was a wonderful surprise to see the shots you took of the Thunderbirds in all their glory. We made it to the car - soaked to the bone - just as it quit storming, and got to see the Thunderbirds perform. They were awesome; as are the shots you capture dof them. Keep up the great work(fun). Hi Ted I had some problems to translate your letter, but I think in the end I got it all - except one: what is DSLR :-? Those two albums are extraordinary for doing it for the first time. Are the images cropped too or did you work with zoom only? I went again though the albums and choose Favorites. For the Thunderbirds: 24,45,66,75,82,94,95! For the Oldies: 7,23,25,30,40,46,50,63,74 ,79,85! My absolute favorite is, even if it is not a typical air-show-picture: # 7 from the Oldies. I like the balance in the picture and the expression of movement and the colors! :-))))beautiful! Ted, from where did you photograph? The angles are from up a n d down???
