Carl Sears was my grandfather. My father told me about this site and I was pleased to surf on and show my kids pictures of a man and a place that they never knew. It is apart of their Heritage. My grandfather spoke often about his time with the RR and he lived in Gassaway WV, where his home was about 75 yards from the track and about 1/2 mile from the Gassaway Depot where he went to work. He was married to Marianna Bender and together they had three children. His oldest son Carl Jr. went to work for the RR after a stint in the Korean war. Thanks for the site. Jack L. Sears, Jr. Brewster-NY

My deepest sympthy to Hazel and the family. I have great memories of Mr Manning and how he shared his home at Dundon with the railfans from time to time. I was one of them who had the honor to show and view other photographers work on a Saturday night in his Dundon Home.
